Fast forward to 2024 and the audio engine with its unique audio algorithms have been updated for the 100th time, and with this update Masterchannel as an AI mastering service just turned even better! Massterchannel now:

    • Less than 2 minutes to master your song – Much more efficient experience.
      • We decreased the time needed to master a song, from 5 minutes down to 2 minutes! This means less time waiting and more time to spend on actually producing!

Line graph showing average master request to completed time, with values fluctuating between 2 and 6 over a period.

  • February 2024: Updated Audio Quality

    February 2024: Updated Audio Quality

The main reason our users love Masterchannel is because we’re dedicated to two things: ease of use and best-in-class sound quality.

In January, you mastered 30,000 songs with us, and we received a lot of useful feedback from all of you. Some very useful feedback made us aware of some issues with high frequency content in some mastering sessions. We’re happy to say that we have now solved that issue.

Furthermore, we were able to improve low end control, and achieve smoother tonal control overall, leading to even better sounding masters than before.

We hope to see you take full advantage of these new updates for your next projects – please give it a go and let us know what you think!

Introducing Wez Clarke AI: The world’s first AI engineering clone

Together with the Grammy Award-winning engineer Wez Clarke, we are happy to unveil the world’s first AI clone of an engineer!

In a pioneering collaboration, Clarke has licensed his unique talent to AI mastering company Masterchannel, for the launch of Wez Clarke AI. The launch represents a significant advancement in the integration of musical artistry with AI, and showcases the future potential of how AI can be developed in partnership with the music industry.

In the same way that voice clones capture the vocal characteristics of singers, Wez Clarke AI encapsulates the expertise of two-time Grammy nominee Clarke. It builds on Masterchannel’s existing AI mastering service that functions autonomously like a professional music engineer.

The new tool provides everyone from bedroom musicians to professional artists with the opportunity to experience the meticulous decision-making of Clarke during the engineering and mastering process, to create a track that resonates across all platforms. As the volume of song-creation is expected to multiply in the future, this ground-breaking approach represents an opportunity for everyone to experience professional audio quality of Grammy Award-winning standards.

  • Introducing the Music Analysis Tool by Masterchannel

Introducing the Music Analysis Tool by Masterchannel

For artists, listening is the natural way to determine if their songs have the quality they desire. But what should you do if you’re still unsure?

This is where our Music Analysis Tool, created by us at Masterchannel, comes into play. Our Music Analysis Tool provides accurate feedback on LUFS levels, Peak Level, and EQ Balance, ensuring that you reach your intended goals. But why are these indicators important?

    • LUFS Levels indicate how “loud” your song is and are crucial when uploading to platforms like Spotify. If your song is too “loud,” Spotify and other services may reduce its volume, potentially affecting its quality.
    • Peak level reveals how loud your song is at specific moments. If it isn’t balanced with the rest of the song, it can lead to clipping, which is something you want to avoid.
    • EQ balance assesses how well-balanced your track is, serving as an indicator of how it will sound on various streaming platforms and audio systems.

Graph showing the output of the Music Analysis Tool for streaming platforms, displaying 'before' and 'after' states for LUFS, Peak dBFS, and EQ Balance.

The Music Analysis Tool by Masterchannel offers a transparent means of understanding how your song was engineered before mastering and the adjustments made by Masterchannel. The ultimate goal is to make it sound as exceptional as possible while ensuring it meets the criteria set by streaming platforms. This way, you can always have peace of mind knowing that your song will sound great, regardless of the platform or listening device.
